Ontario’s education workers and teachers are currently in collective bargaining with the provincial government, with a potential strike looming in the fall.
Since 2018, the Ontario government has cut public education funding by over $6 billion. Support worker and Early Childhood Educator jobs are being slashed while class sizes go up, leaving teachers and staff to do more with less support. Right now, they’re fighting for better funding and better learning conditions for students across the province.
As we know from the November 2022 education worker strike that threatened to turn into a general strike and forced major concessions from Doug Ford, public education workers hold the power to fight for all public services, attack Ford, and win gains for all workers.
Use these resources to paint the province purple (and red!) and let’s show education workers that we support their fight!
