In 2025 we saw an influx of films made in response to the current political moment. While political filmmaking can be expected from documentaries and independent films, we notably saw political films coming straight out of Hollywood.
Ahead of the 2026 Oscars, co-host Sarah Shahid sat down with Spring members Carlie Macfie & Santiago Moran-Izquierdo to discuss three Hollywood films that address the multiple modern day crises affecting the working class.
