Spring Magazine is proud to announce the launch of the Spring Podcast. This is a podcast that aims to connect socialist ideas with action and movements. Hosted by Laura Conrod, the Spring Podcast will feature movement organizers and discuss key questions facing our movements from a socialist perspective. In our first episode, Krisna Saravanamuttu, a member of the Spring Socialist Network introduces us to Spring and the motivations and goals of socialist organizing. Krisna shares his experiences as a refugee living in Canada, and how this has shaped his Socialist viewpoint. Krisna explains that “the way capitalism oppresses us is collectively, and so our response has to be collective as well”. Krisna also shares what activities keep him going when things get tough – including participating in Spring’s organizing events and meetings.
