Spring Reading Group: Teamster Rebellion

Join Spring’s Labour Caucus for a reading group and discussion of Farrell Dobbs’ classic book, “Teamster Rebellion.”
The book chronicles the 1934 union organizing and activity of Teamsters Local 574 in Minnesota, of which Dobbs was a key rank-and-file leader. In the face of fierce strikebreaking efforts, repression, and brutal police violence, the workers organized a strike that would go down as a watershed moment in labour history.
We will be meeting in two sessions over Zoom:
- Sunday, January 14, 7pm ET / 4pm PT / 8pm AT (Chapters 1-6)
- Sunday, February 4, 7pm ET / 4pm PT / 8pm AT (Chapters 6-13)
