Join Spring Magazine as we discuss Indigenous Sovereignty and Socialism by Valerie Lannon and Jesse McLaren.

First published in 2019, the text engages the historic and continuing relationship between movements for Indigenous sovereignty and the struggle for socialism.

As settlers, the authors have attempted to compile in a single accessible publication all the major contributions of Indigenous thinkers, scholars, and activists who have grappled with this question. The focus of the reading group will be on these Indigenous contributions.

This is part 2 of the reading group and will cover Chapters 4 and 5. All are welcome to attend the meeting, even if you haven’t completed the readings.
