Support worker and Early Childhood Educator jobs are being slashed while class sizes go up\, leaving teachers and staff to do more with less support. \nTeachers and education workers are heading into collective bargaining\, and they’re fighting for better funding and better learning conditions for students across the province. When people talk about the fall of Apartheid\, workers’ resistance is often pushed to the margins. DESCRIPTION:Join Spring’s Toronto chapter organizing meeting on Friday\, August 28\, 6pm at 720 Spadina Ave\, room 221! \nOur main discussion\, “World on fire: War\, climate\, and the working class\,” will assess the political terrain and analyze where and how the working class can lift us out of interlocking crises and build a better world. \nWe will also be discussing key political issues as well as socialist strategy and tactics\, building winning campaigns\, and how to be effective socialist organizers in movements. \nThis meeting is open to all Spring members in the GTA and anyone who is interested in getting involved with Spring. \nDoors will be open for light refreshments at 5:30pm and the meeting starts at 6:00pm. We ask everyone to wear a mask. \nPlease email info@springmag.ca with any questions.
