12 years after the historic Tamil protests in Toronto, Eelam Tamils in Sri Lanka live under the military occupation of the Sri Lankan state. Tamils who survived the 2009 genocide remain dispossessed as the state builds Sinhalese settlements through the Tamil homeland. What are the prospects for freedom and building a movement for Tamil self-determination? What is the role of socialists inside and outside the island in supporting Tamil resistance?
